Do I really have to eat more/better now that I am pregnant?

A lot of people may say “eat normally”, or “eat like you used to”. And I have to say unless you were eating 4-5 small meals a day, flooding your body with nutrients, getting enough sleep AND drinking enough water, then sure, keep dong what you were doing. However, you said you are eating 2 small meals and no breakfast.

Here is what I know
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, always has been, always will be. (www.BestBreakfastEver.com) I recommend this to all my clients.
Babies will take what they need from you, they are like a little “alien” and you are it’s host. It will suck you dry of your essential nutrients without even a second thought. It is what they do. So if you are doing what you have always done, then the baby is getting what it needs and mama is starving.
Pregnancy is a HUGE change in the body. It is natural and beautiful and it can be stressful. You must feed your body BETTER than ever before to ensure the optimal health of both you and baby.
Food is not longer the same food (when it comes to vitamin, mineral and nutrient content) Notice what you are taking in and realize that the baby is taking it from you. Ask yourself if you are “doing what you have always done” who is losing here?
Sure you can keep “doing what you have been doing” and most likely everything will be fine, but what if…what if something comes up and if you would have “taken better care of yourself, this would have never happened”. This is not a scare tactic it is fact. More kids are born with asthma, diabetes, ADHD, autism, you name it and it’s MORE.
What if food in the womb and beyond really was the cure for all of that? What if what Hippocrates said in 400 BC really was true…let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.
What if you gave your baby EVERY opportunity available for optimal health?
What if you did?
What could happen?
