The Mental Aspect of Weight Loss

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

Thank you to Adansmamma who inspired this blog post this morning!

“I think, therefore I am.” It is one of the most powerful quotes of all time. You say you don’t know how to “BE” smaller, that is a fair statement. So what can you BE then? BE grateful. Spend time every day imagining what your life is like now that you are the right and perfect size for you (and keep in mind your right and perfect size in your mind may not be the real right and perfect size for you).

BE thankful for every inch of your body for it’s health, your hands, finger, toes, feet, legs, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, organs and of course heart! Everyday you BE grateful for what you have. You BE happy that you are healthy and whole and you BE aware but not addicted to the number on the scale. You BE kind to yourself and where you are because that is exactly where you are supposed to be, there are no accidents in this universe. BE real. BE alive. BE you and only you.

For the past 6 years I have worked with people who know they want to BE better but are struggling. The key STOP STRUGGLING. Go with the flow. BE present and BE grateful and your life will change. BE the person who feeds her body only the good stuff. BE the mom who plays with her kids because she wants to not because she has to. BE honest, open and loving with yourself and others. BE the best you you can BE!
